€40.4M Jackpot not won in EuroMillions draw on 6 January 2026
The EuroMillions draw of January 6 involved a jackpot of 40.4 million euros, resulting from 11 consecutive draws without winning row 1. Numbers issued: 5, 14, 17, 18, 31; stars: 10 and 12. No player found the combination 5 numbers + 2 stars, so the main win remains vacant and the pool continues to climb.
A draw turned down and "hot"
Compared to the last 50 draws, the one of January 6 is distinguished by a clear concentration of small numbers: one more than 25 (31) and four numbers ≤ 25 (5, 14, 17, 18). In other words, four out of five lows — a marked but not statistically exceptional trend. The two stars (10 and 12) belong to the upper part of the scale of the stars, producing a contrast between "low" and "high" main numbers.
In the window of the last 50 prints, the 5 appears as one of the "hot" numbers (8 outputs) and is in the top 5 of the most frequent (13, 42, 44, 8, 5). The other five-digit numbers are also relatively common: 17 (7 times), 14 (6 times), 31 (6 times), while 18 only appears four times — the least frequent of the winning group. None of the numbers drawn were included in the "cold" list (50, 1, 20, 22, 23), which shows a preponderance of values already active recently. The even/unfair distribution is 2 pairs for 3 odds, close to the usual balance.
Earnings Detail: One Big Beneficiary Off Jackpot
The jackpot was not won, but 337,155 winners were counted from all ranks (pallet 3-13). The best individual win, excluding jackpot, comes back to the player in row 3 (5 numbers, 0 stars): a single beneficiary who takes €204,841.20. Of the 50 draws studied, the average number of winners in row 3 is 4.44; This draw is therefore significantly below this average, which partly explains the high amount allocated to the winner alone.
The distribution follows the usual structure: a few hundred players with intermediate amounts and a broad base of small winners. Examples: 129 players received €123.60 (4 issues + 1 star), 418 received €29.30 (4+0), 72 116 players received €6.20 (2+1) and 224 029 received €3.20 (2+0). In total, about €1.79 million was redistributed to participants tonight — a significant amount, but well below the unallocated €40.4 million jackpot.
Rows 1 and 2 (5+2 and 5+1) scored 0 winners. The historical average for row 2 over the period considered is about 1.88 winners, making the absence of the 5+1 combination notable and focusing attention on the isolated winner of row 3.
What to watch
- The persistence of "hot" (13, 42, 44, 8, 5); the 5 just contributed to it.
- The possibility of a shift if the next draws favour more the high half, almost absent tonight.
- High volatility in the top ranks: a few additional winners in row 3 or winners in row 2 could substantially redistribute the amounts.
In summary: a 40.4 jackpot Euro million unreceived, a draw marked by the presence of "hot" numbers and a predominance of stockings, and a redistribution of approximately €1.79 million to the thousands of small winners. The next draw, with a jackpot estimated around €53 million, remains to follow.
